Yeah, this is something I've wondered too. Like, if there’s all this talk about "Abacha loot" and cash being found in other countries, how does that square with Maryam Abacha saying there’s no proof her husband took anything? I remember seeing on the news that France sent back 150 million dollars that was apparently connected to Abacha. Sometimes it feels like the story is all over the place.

My take is that if money was recovered and countries like Switzerland or France admit it was linked to the Abacha family, then there’s got to be something there, right? But hearing Maryam Abacha say there were no witnesses and the money disappeared after he died makes me think maybe a lot of people were involved. Could be higher-ups or even people in government who helped move the money or took their own piece after he passed.

Honestly, as someone who’s grown up seeing all this in the news, it just seems like we’ll never get the full truth. Government secrets and power politics always leave regular people guessing. But the way that money ended up outside Nigeria is definitely suspicious, even if Maryam Abacha says otherwise.
