Yeah, everyone's wondering if Man United's gonna treat this ASEAN All-Stars match like a real contest or just goof off. From what I've seen, I think it's a bit of both. Ruben Amorim's brought a huge 32-man squad, which makes me think he's definitely using the game to check out new talent, but also keep some of the big names visible for fans.
They've got Bruno Fernandes traveling, but some regulars like Eriksen, Lindelof, and Mazraoui aren't even on the trip. So if you're hoping to see the exact Premier League lineup, probably not gonna happen. But with how bad their last season finished, I think the coach will want to show the fans they're serious—even in a friendly.
Honestly, whenever I've watched these kinds of friendlies, it's usually half and half. First half, you get the main guys out to put on a show, then second half it's a lot of subs and youth players getting experience. I think they want to win, but also don't want to risk injuries or burn out the regulars. Either way, I think the fans are gonna get their money's worth just seeing Man United out there!
