So, the government wants all West African Examinations Council exams to go computer-based by 2026. Honestly, I don’t know if they’ve really thought about how tough that’s gonna be, especially for people in rural areas. From what I've seen at my cousin’s school in the village, they barely have enough working computers, and sometimes there's no electricity for half the day!

I know some people say computer-based tests will stop cheating and make everything faster, which sounds cool if you actually have the tech. But, if you don’t even have a computer at home or in school, how are you meant to get ready? It kinda feels unfair. And even the teachers might not know how to help with this stuff. I think before they force everyone to do exams on computers, they need to make sure every school has enough computers and backup power and teachers who actually know how to help.

If they just rush into this, I bet a lot of students could mess up the exam not because they didn’t study, but because they couldn’t use the computer properly. Personally, I’d be worried if I was sitting the exam in a small town, not a big city with nice computer centers.
