This is something I actually wondered too. When I use Forex Factory, they make you go through a security check to prove you’re not a bot, so it feels a bit secure. But from what I can tell, if the government really wanted to, they could probably get to your info, especially if they had a legal reason. Like, if you’re from a country that’s strict about forex trading, or there’s some law you’re breaking, all your trade history and stuff could be looked at.
I've never seen them advertise that your info is hidden from authorities, it's just about making sure random people or hackers don’t get in. But governments have way more power, they can always get data from websites if they have a reason. So I wouldn’t do anything sketchy just because you think a trading website is private. I keep my personal details limited, and I know I can get found if someone really wanted to. Bottom line: don’t count on any website to hide you from the government. It's just not worth the risk.
