Honestly, the Mallorca Olympic Triathlon is a ton of fun even if you're not a pro athlete. I've watched a bunch of people compete there, and yeah, you get some of the world’s top triathletes, but you also see locals and amateurs just doing it for the experience. Everybody talks about how chill the vibe is in Colònia de Sant Jordi.

People run into the water all smiles, there's this stunning scenery everywhere you look, and the support from the crowd gives you this major boost. Sure, some folks are out to win, but I've seen just as many people celebrating finishing at all. People are high-fiving and cheering for each other, and you don't feel left out if you're not super fast.

Registration fills up fast because it’s popular, but it's definitely not just for serious athletes. I'd say if you’re thinking about trying it one year, go for it! Even if you’re not aiming for a medal, it's more about the experience and meeting new people who love the hobby as much as you do.
