OMG, there was so much drama about who made the american idol Top 3 this season! Tons of people online were mad that Slater Nalley and Thunderstorm Artis didn’t get through, especially since some fans said John Foster and Breanna Nix were just kind of basic compared to them. I have to agree a little, because every time Thunderstorm did his thing on stage, he brought something totally different and everyone online would lose it. Slater was that high school kid who crushed it on Disney Night, and people love an underdog story.

I think the debate happened because a lot of fans just want Idol to feel new and surprising instead of the same old stuff. John and Breanna are both super talented, but maybe not as unique as the other two? For me, it always comes down to what people want: some folks want vocal perfection, others want stage presence or originality. Idol always has these split votes, but that’s why it’s fun to watch! People get to argue about it and yell at the TV. I’ve done it every season with my family and honestly, that makes the finale way more exciting.
