From what I’ve seen every year, Eid-ul-Adha isn’t just about going to the mosque and doing sacrifices. People get into all sorts of hobbies and fun stuff to make the most of the day. For example, a lot of families have big get-togethers where the adults might cook together, and kids run around playing cricket or board games. Some people even organize Eid-themed arts and crafts, like making cards to send to their friends or putting up handmade decorations in the house.
I remember last year, my cousins set up a little friendly photography contest to capture the best Eid moments. We took pictures of everything: the food, the prayers, our pets in cute hats! Also, a bunch of my friends host movie nights after all the main events, just to relax and wind down with their favorite films.
And honestly, you’ll see people doing a lot of charity too, like making care packages together for families in need. It feels pretty awesome to mix some fun leisure activities with the deeper tradition. Eid-ul-Adha is as much about hanging out and having fun together as it is about the serious stuff!
