So, from what I’ve seen, NELFUND says they want to be fair and make sure all eligible students get their April upkeep disbursement in time. Still, when everyone applies at the same time, like those 995 Adeyemi Uni students, the process can get messy. I think the schools send lists to NELFUND, and everything gets paid out based on how complete your application and docs are. It’s not supposed to be about who you know or where you study, but honestly, sometimes the bigger public schools seem to move faster just because they’ve been using the system longer. I remember when my friend at a newer school got her money a week after my friend at the big uni. Like, it shouldn’t happen, but tech upgrades and paperwork mean not everyone gets paid on the same day. The best way to be first? Make sure you submit everything early and keep bugging your uni’s admin if your payment is late. Don’t just sit and wait—ask questions! More people should do that.
