Okay, so I totally get why people think Sirens on Netflix has these cult vibes. When I first saw the set—those perfect houses, the crazy-clean closets, everyone acting almost too perfect—it gave me chills. The production designer, John Paino, used a ton of symbols like the huge anchor outside and birds everywhere to make the place feel both super rich and kinda off, like there’s something lurking under all that perfect stuff.

It’s not just the look, though. The whole private island thing, where one powerful lady pretty much runs the show, makes you feel like everyone has to follow Michaela’s rules or else. It's a classic setup for cult-ish control. Even the way the sisters interact—one worrying her sister is getting sucked into some weird elite lifestyle—feels a lot like someone trying to pull their friend out of a cult. Plus, the writing is always making you second-guess if what’s happening is really normal or just plain strange.

So yeah, those cult vibes are real. It's more than just rich people acting weird; it's all about control and secrets and trying to break away from that. It definitely makes the show way more intense than your average comedy.
