Honestly, I think the accountant 2 is catching so much hate because it really strays from what made the first one stand out. I remember loving Christian Wolff in the original because he was super skilled but also felt real and complicated. With this new one, I've noticed a lot of people online, and even some of my friends, complaining that the fun parts from the first movie get drowned out by a confusing plot and weird over-the-top jokes. It almost feels like they're making fun of the main character instead of showing what makes him special.

Plus, the brother stuff that could have been awesome gets lost in all the noise. I get that sequels like to shake things up, but the accountant 2 kind of lost its focus and didn't give Ben Affleck's character the respect he had before. So yeah, people wanted more of that cool action mixed with smart story stuff, and instead we got something all over the place. It's disappointing if you were hyped for it like I was! Honestly, I still watched it for the action scenes, but I get why people aren't loving it.
