The biggest reason is that NELFUND just upgraded their system, and apparently, whenever there’s tech work like that, some people’s payments just get held up. I remember last semester, my own funds came two days late and it was so stressful because I was trying to buy books and recharge my phone.

Most of the time, the delay doesn’t mean you won’t get the money – it’s just gonna take a little longer for it to hit your account. NELFUND says they’re working to fix the bugs, and schools have been told not to mess about with student loan info. But if it’s getting close to the end of the month and you still haven’t gotten anything, def talk to your student affairs people or whoever handles fees in your school. Usually, these things get sorted, but don’t just sit and wait forever. Reach out for updates if it’s taking ages. Been there, it sucks, but the money almost always comes through eventually.
