So, the rare breed trigger thing has been huge news lately, and I totally get why everyone is freaking out. When the Justice Department agreed to end the ban on these triggers, people who support gun rights were stoked, but gun control groups were seriously ticked off. Basically, these triggers (like the FRT-15) let semi-automatic rifles shoot crazy fast, almost like a machine gun, without technically being one.

I remember seeing my uncle get all excited reading about it because he's big into the Second Amendment and thinks the government just goes too far trying to ban stuff. But on the flip side, my friend's mom is super into stricter gun laws and she thinks this decision is really dangerous because she believes it makes it easier for people to skirt the rules on automatic guns.

It's honestly weird how much difference a part like a trigger can make for how people feel about gun laws. For now, gun control folks are worried it's a step backwards, but gun owners think it's a win for their rights. It's one of those things that's probably going to stay controversial for a while.
