Alright, I think the Akwa Ibom commissioner resigning is actually a lot more dramatic than people think. From what I've seen, there's a ton of buzz about loyalty and switching parties in Nigeria, and apparently the governor Umo Eno recently moved from PDP to APC. Instead of just tagging along, one commissioner basically said, nah, I’m not following you guys to APC and just quit. That takes guts, honestly. It kinda shows there’s real division in the party and maybe not everyone is just about chasing power. I think stuff like this gets young people thinking about what loyalty really means in politics—like, do you stick with your own beliefs, or just go with whoever’s in charge?

This resignation might shake up the local government since it can encourage other people to stand up for what they believe too, or it could make other officials nervous about losing their spots if they disagree with their boss. Either way, Akwa Ibom is probably gonna feel this for a while, because party loyalty is a big deal in Nigeria. I’ve noticed family and friends talking way more about politics lately, so when stuff like this happens, it really gets people’s attention.
