From what I've seen online, people can get weirdly serious about fictional characters, especially in a huge movie like Titanic. Maybe some folks relate to other characters more, or just enjoy arguing on the internet. I personally find it kinda funny because it's just a movie, and nobody actually knows what they'd do in that situation unless they were really there. But since Titanic is such a big part of pop culture, I guess people will always find reasons to pick sides and keep the debates going. It's almost become its own entertainment! If you ask me, it's proof how legendary Titanic is that we're all still talking about it.
