Yeah, honestly, getting a us visa feels way more stressful than it should be. I remember helping my cousin through her application recently and it took us HOURS just to figure out all the different forms and requirements. It's wild because you'd think, hey, if someone wants to visit or live in the US legally, the process would be chill or at least understandable, but no.
There's this crazy amount of paperwork and every little thing has to be translated perfectly, notarized, and double-checked. Plus, the whole visa bulletin thing makes it confusing, like how some people have to wait for years just because they're from certain countries or in certain family categories. My uncle applied to bring over his sister under the F4 category, and it's been ten years with hardly any progress because of those annual limits and priority dates.
In my opinion, a big part of why it feels so tough is just how old-school and strict the system is. They're super careful because they're worried about stuff like security and fraud, but it ends up making life harder for regular people. If I could change anything, I'd make it more clear what you need and faster for people doing everything right! Good luck to anyone starting this whole thing, you seriously need patience.
