Honestly, the reason everyone keeps mentioning kenya nnamdi kanu is because the whole situation just flipped upside down with that new Kenyan court ruling. So, Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of IPOB, which is this movement fighting for Biafran independence in Nigeria, right? Back in 2021, he was basically grabbed in Kenya, held in secret (which sounds super shady), and then flown back to Nigeria. Lots of people thought it felt like something out of a spy movie, but way more real and scary for the guy.

Now, a Kenyan High Court just ruled that what happened to Kanu was straight-up illegal and against both the Kenyan constitution and international law. The judge said Kenyan officials totally messed up — they helped abduct him, tortured him, didn't let him talk to anyone, even denied him food and medicine, and then sent him to Nigeria without following any proper process. The court was like, nope, not cool, and called the governments out on major human rights violations.

They even ordered Kenya to pay Nnamdi Kanu 10 million shillings as damages, which is a lot! I think that's why it's blowing up online, because usually governments slide out of accountability, but this time, Kenya got called out hardcore.
