Honestly, the whole thing with Fubara being suspended and not getting his job back is super complicated. From what I've been reading, a lot of people thought President Tinubu would bring Fubara back on June 12, since that's Democracy Day and kinda symbolic. But it turns out politics is messy. Wike, who used to be Fubara's mentor but now is basically his rival, still has a ton of control over who has power in Rivers.

I've noticed that even though people have been protesting and making noise about Fubara, nothing big has changed because the folks in power don't want to lose their grip. Tinubu is also trying to keep the peace and not just pick any side, especially with another election coming up. Plus, it sounds like there hasn't really been any real peace between Fubara and the lawmakers — they're still beefing, and without fixing that, Tinubu probably doesn't want to just throw Fubara back in and have chaos again.

Honestly, I kinda get it because if I was in charge, I wouldn't want to restart the drama either. But I also feel bad for the people in Rivers State who just want a proper government. I just hope these leaders can chill and sort things out soon.
