Honestly, if I was Zubimendi, turning down Real Madrid for Arsenal would be a huge call. But it actually makes sense if you think about it. I've seen a lot of players struggle after going to massive clubs like Madrid. Sometimes you just end up sitting on the bench behind all the superstars, and it's hard to really shine. At Arsenal, Mikel Arteta is building something cool, and he really wanted Zubimendi. That feels good—having a coach who actually believes in you instead of being one of just a bunch of signings. Plus, Arsenal just dropped big money for him and probably promised he’d get lots of game time.
If you’re young and want to keep getting better, playing every week in the Premier League is a huge deal. I’ve seen how Arsenal fans hype up their new players, too. And don't forget, Arteta is Spanish—maybe Zubimendi feels more comfortable with him. It’s risky, but it looks like Zubimendi went for trust and opportunity instead of the biggest name. That’s gotta count for something!
