Honestly, I think the Adam Sandler Happy Gilmore 2 trailer is mostly playing on our memories from when the original was a classic. I've watched it twice, and as much as I was pumped by the music and seeing Sandler back in action, it honestly feels like a lot of hype is just because everyone misses the old days. Even my dad was like, "Whoa, I can't believe they're doing this," but at the same time, he thinks it's just Netflix cashing in.
I get that the cast is packed with cool new people like Bad Bunny and even pro golfers, which is fun, but that doesn't always mean the movie will be good. Sometimes these trailers are cut super well, but then the movie can't keep up. And the jokes in the trailer kind of feel like stuff we've already seen before. Don't get me wrong, if you're a huge fan of Adam Sandler and the original Happy Gilmore, you'll have a blast watching the trailer. But I wouldn't bet everything on the movie being epic, just because of the trailer hype. It's worth checking out, but keep your expectations in check!
