Honestly, I think tvet education gets way underestimated compared to regular college degrees. I've seen people go straight into tvet programs, like at Blackhawk Technical College or RCTC, and they end up getting real hands-on skills that companies want. My older cousin did welding at a technical college and landed a solid job before his friends who went the traditional college route even graduated. Plus, he had way less student debt!

A lot of tvet programs are focused on jobs that are actually hiring, and you learn stuff you’ll really use. I remember some of my friends stressed about finding any work after getting a regular bachelor’s, but the ones from tvet programs had job offers lined up before graduation. For sure, jobs in trades, nursing, or IT pay well and don’t always require a four-year degree. Not saying college isn't valuable, but I’d say tvet education deserves way more respect and attention. Anyone who wants a quick way into a good job should at least check it out! You might end up better off than you expected.
