Honestly, it seems like a lot of people are getting frustrated because President Tinubu and his party, the APC, are already talking about supporting him for the next election in 2027. I’ve heard people say, like Malami did, that the government should be putting way more focus on big problems like insecurity, poverty, and just how tough things are for regular Nigerians. I totally get why this upsets folks – I'd be mad if my leaders acted like getting another term was more important than actually fixing stuff that affects my family.

From what I’ve seen, it’s not even just people in the South complaining; the northern leaders who met in Abuja, like Atiku and Zulum, sounded really worried that bad policies (like getting rid of the fuel subsidy super quickly) have made things harder. The insecurity, with all the terrorist attacks and kidnapping, has gotten worse too.

So, yeah, it feels kind of wild that politicians are thinking about the next election while plenty of people are just hoping they can eat and feel safe. It makes me wonder if politicians ever realize how disconnected they sound when they start campaigning instead of working on the problems they promised to fix. I wish leaders would at least act like they care about regular people instead of power plays.
