Honestly, these AEDC power outages in Abuja are a pain and it's like every other week there's another one. From what I've seen and heard, it's mostly caused by technical faults, stuff breaking down in the old infrastructure, and sometimes maintenance or moving power lines around the city. The problem is, Abuja is a big and busy place with a ton of businesses counting on stable electricity—think malls, shops, and even big places like the American Embassy Estate and War College. Every time the power goes off, it throws people’s plans totally off and some businesses lose money, especially small shops that rely on fridges or tech.

I remember one time, my cousin’s shop in Gwarinpa had to close early because of an outage and she lost all her frozen goods. It's not just annoying, it actually costs people real money. AEDC always says their technical team is fixing it, but a lot of people are tired of hearing that. It feels like it just keeps happening over and over, and honestly, it makes people not trust the whole system. It's just so frustrating!
