Honestly, I've been following the news about Rivers State and the sole administrator thing actually surprised me too. So, Goodluck Iheamnacho, the guy who was just made the sole administrator for Ahoada East, resigned after only about two months. On paper, he just said he wanted to go back to private business, which sounds kinda normal. But people are talking, and some local sources say there was a lot of pressure on him from the people in charge and even locals who didn't like how things were being run after the whole political shakeup in Rivers recently.

What’s wild is that there are also rumors he might have been threatened or even roughed up before quitting, which is just nuts. Police even had to take over the council secretariat after all this, probably to stop things from getting crazier. To me, this just shows how unstable politics in Rivers State is right now. When the first appointee out of 23 already calls it quits, it doesn't feel like things are super organized. I honestly think this kind of drama just makes people trust the government less, especially if someone who was supposed to bring order leaves like this. It’s kind of a mess, but it also means people might push even harder for real elected leaders in the next elections. That’s just how I see it.
