I've seen so many memes calling Mamadou Sarr the "most generic Chelsea signing" and honestly, I get it. Chelsea's got this rep for snapping up every young dude with potential, especially if they're a defender and not a household name yet. It's like every summer there's a new Sarr, Fofana, or some 19-year-old from France joining up!

I kinda feel like fans are half-joking, half-frustrated about it. Sarr ticks all those boxes: young, plays center-back, good at youth level, but hasn't really wowed the world yet. It does make it hard to get excited sometimes because you can't tell if they're actually gonna play or just disappear into the loan system. Like, I remember thinking "wait, didn't we already have a Sarr?" just last year!

But hey, everyone thought similar about some of these signings before they popped off. You never know—maybe Mamadou Sarr ends up being the one who proves the stereotype wrong. If he breaks through, all the "generic" jokes go out the window. That's what I'm hoping for! #sports
