Security at Fidelity Bank definitely goes overboard sometimes, at least that's how it feels to me. Every time I log in, I get stuck with those “prove you’re human” things and I have to wait, which gets annoying if you’re just trying to check your money fast. I get that banks need to keep stuff safe—people’s info and money are a big deal—but man, it feels like too much some days.
I remember trying to help my grandma set up her online banking and we got stuck on the first-time login because you have to use the last part of your social security number. For older people or anyone who’s not techy, that can be pretty stressful. On the other side, I’ve read stories of banks not being secure enough and people losing money, so I get why Fidelity is strict. People would complain way more if their cash got stolen, you know?
So yeah, it can be a pain, but I guess I’d rather put up with extra steps than lose my hard-earned birthday money! Just wish they could make it easier without making it risky.
